Ready to go fishing? Here are answers to questions you may have about your day with John.
How big can our group be?
John’s boats hold up to four guests.
Where will we fish?
Where you will fish depends on the season. In the spring, John will guide you on the Columbia and Willamette Rivers near Portland to fish for Salmon and Steelhead. During the late summer and fall, John will take you to areas around Astoria, known as Buoy 10, the Pacific Ocean and the Columbia River for Chinook and Silver Salmon.
What time do we start? When do we stop?
You’ll meet John at 6:30 am at his boat, which will be in the water and ready to go. This time is flexible upon request. John will let you know where to meet him. Typically, you will fish until approximately 2:00-3:00 pm or boat limit.
What does John provide for our trip?
John will outfit you and your group with all the rods, reels, bait, life jackets and other required safety equipment you’ll need.
